As a volunteer base, grass-roots organization MAP contributes to the fight against poverty. Nearly one half of the world's children live in significant poverty; extensively malnourished, with no access to clean water, or a continuous food supply, without hope for a steady education, and with no access to medical supplies to fight common diseases. As members of the human race, we are obliged to take part in sharing and creating solutions to this tragic story.
We work with local non-governmental organizations to:
1. Identify and provide for the children’s immediate needs; such as shelter, food and clean water.
2. Address children’s medical needs by establishing free health clinics, purchasing medical supplies and providing immunizations.
3. To collaborate with our local partners in order to create innovative, culturally-effective educational programs and offer such programs to children in the developing communities with the goal of providing an avenue for them to become self-sufficient members of their community and the world at large.
Moms Against Poverty is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving and supporting orphans and at-risk children living in developing countries. Our vision is to nurture and educate these children to their fullest potential so that one day they can contribute and lead within their own communities; thus breaking the cycle of poverty. We carry out this mission by building and renovating schools and orphanages, providing education, health care and basic needs to these children one community at a time.

Art for AIDS originated in 1996 when several local artists got together in a Noe Valley kitchen and decided to sell their art to help friends living with HIV/AIDS. Over the years, Art for AIDS has grown, attracting artists such as Ryan Reynolds, Deborah Oropallo, Jock Sturges, Pamela Merory Derhnam, Rex Ray and Ferris Plock, along with works from prominent Bay Area galleries and collectors.
